When a new oil burner and oil tank is to be installed, the oil burner technician must first get a permit from the Fire Prevention Division (413) 268-7161 (extension 2).  After the work is complete the technician files a Certificate of Completion.  A member of the Department then does an inspection of the installation. 

There is a $10.00 fee for this permit.
