Dustin Culver Promoted to Lieutenant

GOSHEN: The September business meeting of the Goshen Firefighter's Association was preceeded by a special event. Firefighter / E.M.T. Dustin Culver was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Dustin joined the department in 2004. He graduated from the Firefighters I / II class given by the Massachusetts Fire Academy in March, 2006 and became federally certified as a Firefighter I / II later that same year.

Dustin Culver looks on confidently as his mother, Laura Culver, attaches a new Lieutenant's badge to his uniform in recognition of his promotion.
Dustin has also taken on the responsibility of becoming the Assistant Training Officer for the department mentored by Deputy Chief and Training Officer Rick Clark.
Dustin has been employed by the State Division of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Fire Control unit for two seasons. Last year, Dustin was dispatched out west as part of a state team assembled to assist fire crews battling wildfires.

Chief Sue Labrie presents Firefighter Dustin Culver with a plaque which recognizes his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant. Assisting Chief Labrie are Deputy Chiefs Kim Dresser and Rick Clark.
